Even though I grew up in a suburban area, I have fallen in love with the agriculture industry and way of life. I've been able to pursue my passion as an editor for the UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Not only do I have a knack for editing, but I've become a social media guru. The purpose of this site is to get to know me a little better while having access to my work anywhere, anytime.
Because of my interest in social media and the internet, I thought this was the perfect way to showcase myself. This site was pieced together entirely on my own through WordPress.
I am newly employed at the University of Georgia, writing and editing content on a wide range of topics for a variety of audiences. I have also become quite the expert in AP style. I am putting my degree in agricultural communication to use as I help contribute to “the voice” of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
While some people believe I spent four years learning how to talk to corn and cows (which if possible, I would since that would pay way more), I am a strong proponent of agricultural awareness and adept at communicating about agriculture to those that matter: consumers and legislators.
Although agriculture and communication are what I enjoy the most, I also love photography, graphic design and anything that allows me to be creative. I feel that my college career has prepared me to take on a wide spectrum of occupations, and I love a good challenge. I am a quick learner and experienced in working with a variety of clients.
