Coming from a suburban area, I see a great need for connecting the rural and urban market places while dispelling any misconceptions about agriculture. I want to have a career advocating agriculture and helping others to better understand the importance of the agricultural industry! 
The purpose of this site is to get to know me a little better while having access to my work anywhere, anytime.
Because of my interest in social media and the internet, I thought this was the perfect way to showcase myself. This site was pieced together entirely on my own through WordPress.
I am newly employed at the University of Georgia, writing and editing content on a wide range of topics for a variety of audiences. I have also become quite the expert in AP style. I am putting my degree in agricultural communication to use as I help contribute to “the voice” of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. While some people believe I spent four years learning how to talk to corn and cows (which if possible, I would since that would pay way more), I am a strong proponent of agricultural awareness and adept at communicating about agriculture to those that matter: consumers and legislators.
Although agriculture and communication are what I enjoy the most, I also love photography, graphic design and anything that allows me to be creative. I feel that my college career has prepared me to take on a variety of occupations, and I love a good challenge. I am a quick learner and experienced in working with clients.
